About GOHA

Gately Oaks is a subdivision started in 1990 and is located in East Arlington along Gately Road off the Wonderwood Corridor, west of the Intracoastal Waterway. It was built in five phases, the first three phases are the original Gately Oaks Homeowners Association. The newer phases (Units 4 and 5) were developed later and have their own association bylaws and covenants and restrictions.

The Association is governed by a Board of Directors (all of which are members of the Association).  The Board meets on a regular basis (see Events) to review activity within the neighborhood.  They are the body that enforces the covenants and restrictions for the association.  An Architectural Review Board is in place to ensure any additions or modifications to a property conform to the covenants and restrictions to which all homeowners are bound.

Homeowners are required to submit a request along with plans for any changes or additions to their residence or property.  This includes any major landscaping changes and fencing.  The removal of trees is also considered a major landscaping change, and the ARB shall be notified before removal.  Trimming of trees is acceptable and does not require ARB consideration or approval.
